Alliance of Black Women Accountants has been selected by RevComm Foundation (a non-profit organization dedicated to helping other non-profits) to pitch our mission and programs for the chance to be awarded a grant through their GRANT TANK 2025.

What this means for ABWA:

To receive a grant through the GRANT TANK program would be more than just financial support—it’s a transformative opportunity for Alliance of Black Women Accountants to expand its impact in the community. Beyond strengthening our scholarship fund to uplift the next generation of Black women in accounting, this grant would amplify our mission, allowing us to build strategic partnerships with other local non-profits, foster greater community engagement among our members and supporters, and extend our reach within a broader, more diverse network. This opportunity provides ABWA a platform to share our vision with influential stakeholders, opening doors for new collaborations, increased advocacy, and long-term sustainability—all critical elements in ensuring that ABWA continues to thrive and create lasting change.

Alliance of Black Women Accountants has already secured a spot as one of five presenting contenders to receive a grant from RevComm Foundation’s GRANT TANK program. However, the final award amount isn’t set—it depends on factors like our presentation and the strength of our community’s support. The more ABWA members and supporters that attend this event, the greater our chances of securing a higher grant amount. Your presence demonstrates the impact of our mission and helps ensure we receive the funding needed to expand our scholarships, outreach, and community initiatives.

About RevComm:
RevComm Foundation revolutionizes communities through the power of philanthropy. Now more than ever, community resources and opportunities are critical to create thriving communities. While there are many organizations providing critically-needed support to under-resourced communities, these agencies struggle to find their own resources and funding to continue their efforts in providing no-to-low cost services to their clients. RevComm Foundation aims to change the narrative of nonprofit funding by creating a collaborative synergy for start-up nonprofit organizations. Our annual Grant Tank event will provide nonprofit organizations the opportunity to fast pitch to a panel of “Sharks” and guest in attendance. These organizations are limited to ones that are less than 5 years old and have less than a $500,000 annual revenue. In addition, nonprofit organizations will have access to receive pro-bono consulting from RevComm Foundation Board Members and Consultant Volunteers, providing additional no-cost resources to young nonprofit agencies.
